Format: You can play, sing, or listen to Interplay Jazz Jam North sessions. Attendance is open to everyone. Please bring 6-8 copies of the sheet music for the songs you want to play with the group, or you may play along with the music others bring.

If you are a pianist, bassist, guitarist, drummer, or vocalist, you’ll use the House Band grand piano, amps, drum kit, and vocal mic.
Please bring your related items, such as cords, sticks, brushes, etc. (Using the House Band equipment allows us to play, not deal with equipment.)
A TYPICAL JAM SESSION
Beginning at 6:30 PM, we encourage instrumentalists to participate in a free-flow session to develop new material (music) and play together. The instrumental jam may be based upon existing songs or forms, loosely based on an agreed chord progression or chart suggested by one participant, or wholly improvisational.

Continuing at 7:30 PM, vocalists are encouraged to bring well-known jazz standards, popular songs, or an original tune in their key to play with the instrumentalists, creating arrangements and improvisation in real time!

Jam session ends at 9:30 PM.
